The focus is on Excel, Power BI, and increasingly the AI tools that are starting to change how financial work gets done — all applied in ways that translate directly to better decisions, not just better-looking reports.

About Me

I'm a Financial Controller with over 10 years in finance and a holder of the CGMA and ACMA designations from CIMA. I spend my days building reporting systems, managing budgets, and helping businesses understand their numbers — and for a long time, that felt like enough.

Then I decided I wanted to build something of my own.

Analytic Accountant started as a way to take everything I'd learned — the Excel models, the Power BI dashboards, the hard-won lessons from real finance roles — and turn it into something useful beyond the four walls of a job. Increasingly, I focus on the future where AI is changing how finance professionals work, and what it actually looks like to apply that in practice rather than just talk about it.

Everything here is grounded in real experience. If I write about a model, I've built it. If I recommend a tool, I use it. The goal is content that's genuinely useful for finance professionals and anyone serious about getting more out of Excel, Power BI, or the growing set of AI tools reshaping the profession.
